This is the Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai, it's the world's tallest hotel (although this might be arguable), the first floor of this hotel is actually the 53rd floor of Jin Mao Tower, the top floor is the 83th floor.

Jin Mao Tower is Shanghai's tallest building and one of the world's tallest, it also includes a top floor for visitors to go, what I'd say it's the best view of Shanghai. To top that off, the second highest floor of this building has the world's tallest bar, named Cloud 9.

Just to inform, the colours are tweaked in this photo, the original colours were just orange.

I recognized this building at once when I saw your photo - it's very characterisctic, and surely offers one of my favourite views on Shanghai :)

I like this idea. The small balconies sprialing down each floor remind me of the spirals on a sea shell.
